sam. is an independent production company owned by two sisters, Millie and Edwina Samuels.
Our work aims to expand access to inspiring productions and immersive educational experiences. We endeavour to support artistic content that promotes important conversation around timely social issues.
Edwina Samuels trained at Victorian College of the Arts (B.A Theatre). Upon graduating in 2012, she performed in Melbourne Theatre Company’s production of The Crucible. Other stage appearances include Therese Raquin for Theatre works, Fewer Emergencies for Elbow Room, Middletown and The Antipodes for Red Stitch Theatre and Melbourne Theatre Company’s production of Double Indemnity. Television credits include Foxtel’s Wentworth Prison season two and three. Edwina also holds a Masters of Speech Pathology degree (University of Melbourne).
Millie studied the many platforms in media production and performance at Charles Sturt University in Bathurst; B.A Communications (Theatre Media). Upon graduating in 2011, Millie has worked professionally both in production teams for Channel Seven, Fremantle Media, ABC and numerous feature length and short films. Her acting credits begun on ABC’s God of Wheat Street and following on has appeared in the cast of Neighbours, Mychonny Moves In (YouTube sensation) Chanel Seven’s Catching Milat (directed by Peter Andrikidis). Her feature film credits include Around the Block (featuring Christina Ricci), Alex and Eve (directed by Peter Andrikidis) along with myriad short films with Metro screen The Passenger and Three Hearts, Flow. Millie has also been a finalist for the prestigious award Heath Ledger Scholarship for two consecutive years (2014/2015). Millie is currently represented by IMC in Australia.
